Back in November I did Hailey and Cody's maternity session at a Christmas tree farm before this session. Link here to see pictures:

Finally on January.10th 2020 Mars was born Hailey had to go through an emergency C Section, So more waiting for me to meet baby Mars.
On that same day I fell twisted my foot and landed on my back due to the snow and slush on my front doorsteps. Nothing was broken but I still couldn't walk for almost a good 2 weeks. In a way I was glad Hailey had a C Section so we could both heel up at the sametime.
On January 18th 2020 my foot was still in pain but I was able to do Mars newborn session and not make them wait longer. I enjoyed my time with Hailey, Cody and their baby when he was 8 days old at my little home studio in my basement!!
I truly believe ALL things happen for a reason ❤
Mars was a bit fussy but he did awesome and let me do my top ideas I had for his newborn session!

Mars was always called babysaurus throughout the pregnancy. This is where this idea came from...
Took a wedding picture at Starbucks now a newborn photo for the parents! Apron from Hailey's boss because she works at Starbucks Canada. The little christmas Starbucks cup always sits at my computer desk.
